In that day the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent\, Leviathan the twisting serpent\, and he will slay the dragon that is in the sea.\n In that day: “A pleasant vineyard\, sing of it! DESCRIPTION:Άγιοι\, εορταί\, και Αναγνώσεις – Δευτέρα\, 24 Μαρτίου 2025\nΆγιοι και εορταί: Προεόρτια Ευαγγελισμού; Οσίου Αρτέμονος\, Επισκόπου Σελευκείας της Πισιδίας; Θεωνάς\, ο έν Θεσσαλονίκη; Ζαχαρίας\nΑυστηρή Νηστεία\nΑνάγνωσις Παλαιᾱς Διαθήκης: Ησαΐας 14:24-32\nΤάδε λέγει Κύριος σαβαώθ· όν τρόπον είρηκα\, ούτως έσται\, και όν τρόπον βεβούλευμαι\, ούτως μενεί\, του απολέσαι τους ᾿Ασσυρίους από της γής της εμής και από των ορέων μου\, και έσονται εις καταπάτημα\, και αφαιρεθήσεται απ᾿ αυτών ο ζυγός αυτών\, και το κύδος αυτών από των ώμων αφαιρεθήσεται. αύτη η βουλή\, ήν βεβούλευται Κύριος επί την όλην οικουμένην\, και αύτη η χείρ η υψηλή επί πάντα τα έθνη. ά γαρ ο Θεός ο άγιος βεβούλευται\, τίς διασκεδάσει; και την χείρα αυτού την υψηλήν τίς αποστρέψει; Του έτους\, ού απέθανεν ο βασιλεύς ῎Αχαζ\, εγενήθη το ρήμα τούτο. μή ευφρανθείητε οι αλλόφυλοι πάντες\, συνετρίβη γαρ ο ζυγός του παίοντος υμάς· εκ γαρ σπέρματος όφεως εξελεύσεται έκγονα ασπίδων\, και τα έκγονα αυτών εξελεύσονται όφεις πετόμενοι και βοσκηθήσονται πτωχοί δι᾿ αυτού\, πτωχοί δε άνθρωποι επί ειρήνης αναπαύσονται· ανελεί δε λιμώ το σπέρμα σου και το κατάλειμμά σου ανελεί. ολολύξατε\, πύλαι πόλεων\, κεκραγέτωσαν πόλεις τεταραγμέναι\, οι αλλόφυλοι πάντες\, ότι από Βορρά καπνός έρχεται\, και ουκ έστι του είναι. και τί αποκριθήσονται βασιλείς εθνών; ότι Κύριος εθεμελίωσε Σιών\, και δι᾿ αυτού σωθήσονται οι ταπεινοί του λαού.\nΑνάγνωσις Παλαιᾱς Διαθήκης: Γένεσις 8:21-9:7\nΚαι ωσφράνθη Κύριος ο Θεός οσμήν ευωδίας\, και είπε Κύριος ο Θεός διανοηθείς· ου προσθήτω έτι καταράσασθαι την γήν διά τα έργα των ανθρώπων\, ότι έγκειται η διάνοια του ανθρώπου επιμελώς επί τα πονηρά εκ νεότητος αυτού· ου προσθήσω ούν έτι πατάξαι πάσαν σάρκα ζώσαν\, καθώς εποίησα. πάσας τάς ημέρας της γής\, σπέρμα και θερισμός\, ψύχος και καύμα\, θέρος και έαρ\, ημέραν και νύκτα ου καταπαύσουσι.\nΚαι ευλόγησεν ο Θεός τον Νώε και τους υιούς αυτού και είπεν αυτοίς· αυξάνεσθε και πληθύνεσθε και πληρώσατε την γήν και κατακυριεύσατε αυτής. και ο τρόμος και ο φόβος υμών έσται επί πάσι τοις θηρίοις της γής\, επί πάντα τα πετεινά του ουρανού και επί πάντα τα κινούμενα επί της γής και επί πάντας τους ιχθύας της θαλάσσης· υπό χείρας υμίν δέδωκα. και πάν ερπετόν\, ό εστι ζών\, υμίν έσται εις βρώσιν· ως λάχανα χόρτου δέδωκα υμίν τα πάντα. πλήν κρέας εν αίματι ψυχής ου φάγεσθε· και γαρ το υμέτερον αίμα των ψυχών υμών εκ χειρός πάντων των θηρίων εκζητήσω αυτό και εκ χειρός ανθρώπου αδελφού εκζητήσω την ψυχήν του ανθρώπου. ο εκχέων αίμα ανθρώπου\, αντί του αίματος αυτού εκχυθήσεται\, ότι εν εικόνι Θεού εποίησα τον άνθρωπον. υμείς δε αυξάνεσθε και πληθύνεσθε και πληρώσατε την γήν\, και κατακυριεύσατε αυτής.\nΑνάγνωσις Παλαιᾱς Διαθήκης: Παροιμίαι 11:19-12:6\nΥιός δίκαιος γεννάται εις ζωήν\, διωγμός δε ασεβούς εις θάνατον. βδέλυγμα Κυρίω διεστραμμέναι οδοί\, προσδεκτοί δε αυτώ πάντες άμωμοι εν ταις οδοίς αυτών. χειρί χείρας εμβαλών αδίκως ουκ ατιμώρητος έσται\, ο δε σπείρων δικαιοσύνην λήψεται μισθόν πιστόν. ώσπερ ενώτιον εν ρινί υός\, ούτως γυναικί κακόφρονι κάλλος. επιθυμία δικαίων πάσα αγαθή\, ελπίς δε ασεβών απολείται. εισίν οί τα ίδια σπείροντες πλείονα ποιούσιν\, εισί δε και οί συνάγοντες ελαττονούνται. ψυχή ευλογουμένη πάσα απλή\, ανήρ δε θυμώδης ουκ ευσχήμων. ο συνέχων σίτον υπολείποιτο αυτόν τοις έθνεσιν\, ευλογίαν δε εις κεφαλήν του μεταδιδόντος. τεκταινόμενος αγαθά ζητεί χάριν αγαθήν\, εκζητούντα δε κακά\, καταλήψεται αυτόν. ο πεποιθώς επί πλούτω ούτος πεσείται\, ο δε αντιλαμβανόμενος δικαίων ούτος ανατελεί. ο μή συμπεριφερόμενος τω εαυτού οίκω κληρονομήσει άνεμον\, δουλεύσει δε άφρων φρονίμω. εκ καρπού δικαιοσύνης φύεται δένδρον ζωής\, αφαιρούνται δε άωροι ψυχαί παρανόμων. ει ο μέν δίκαιος μόλις σώζεται\, ο ασεβής και αμαρτωλός πού φανείται; Ο αγαπών παιδείαν\, αγαπά αίσθησιν\, ο δε μισών ελέγχους άφρων. κρείσων ο ευρών χάριν παρά Κυρίω\, ανήρ δε παράνομος παρασιωπηθήσεται. ου κατορθώσει άνθρωπος εξ ανόμου\, αι δε ρίζαι των δικαίων ουκ εξαρθήσονται. γυνή ανδρεία στέφανος τω ανδρί αυτής· ώσπερ δε εν ξύλω σκώληξ\, ούτως άνδρα απόλλυσι γυνή κακοποιός. λογισμοί δικαίων κρίματα\, κυβερνώσι δε ασεβείς δόλους. λόγοι ασεβών δόλιοι\, στόμα δε ορθών ρύσεται αυτούς.

He who trusts in his riches will wither\, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.  He who troubles his household will inherit wind\, and the fool will be servant to the wise.  The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life\, but lawlessness takes away lives.  If the righteous is requited on earth\, how much more the wicked and the sinner!  Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge\, but he who hates reproof is stupid.  A good man obtains favor from the LORD\, but a man of evil devices he condemns.  A man is not established by wickedness\, but the root of the righteous will never be moved.  A good wife is the crown of her husband\, but she who brings shame is like rottenness in his bones.  The thoughts of the righteous are just; the counsels of the wicked are treacherous.  The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood\, but the mouth of the upright delivers men.

Ου γαρ έχομεν αρχιερέα μή δυνάμενον συμπαθήσαι ταις ασθενείαις ημών\, πεπειραμένον δε κατά πάντα καθʼ ομοιότητα\, χωρίς αμαρτίας. Και έλεγεν αυτοίς· αμήν λέγω υμίν ότι εισί τινες των ώδε εστηκότων\, οίτινες ου μή γεύσωνται θανάτου έως άν ίδωσι την βασιλείαν του Θεού εληλυθυίαν εν δυνάμει.

See My hands and My feet\, that it is I Myself; handle Me\, and see; for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see that I have.” And when He had said this\, He showed them His hands and His feet. And while they still disbelieved for joy\, and wondered\, He said to them\, “Have you anything here to eat?” They gave Him a piece of broiled fish \, and He took it and ate before them. For we have not a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses\, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are\, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace\, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. For every high priest chosen from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in relation to God\, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. I myself have commanded my consecrated ones\, have summoned my mighty men to execute my anger\, my proudly exulting ones.\n Hark\, a tumult on the mountains as of a great multitude! Hark\, an uproar of kingdoms\, of nations gathering together! The LORD of hosts is mustering a host for battle.  They come from a distant land\, from the end of the heavens\, the LORD and the weapons of his indignation\, to destroy the whole earth.\n Wail\, for the day of the LORD is near; as destruction from the Almighty it will come!  Therefore all hands will be feeble\, and every man’s heart will melt\, and they will be dismayed. Pangs and agony will seize them; they will be in anguish like a woman in travail. The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable\, but the mouth of the wicked\, what is perverse.  A false balance is an abomination to the LORD\, but a just weight is his delight.  When pride comes\, then comes disgrace; but with the humble is wisdom.  The integrity of the upright guides them\, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.  Riches do not profit in the day of wrath\, but righteousness delivers from death.  The righteousness of the blameless keeps his way straight\, but the wicked falls by his own wickedness.  The righteousness of the upright delivers them\, but the treacherous are taken captive by their lust.  When the wicked dies\, his hope perishes\, and the expectation of the godless comes to nought.  The righteous is delivered from trouble\, and the wicked gets into it instead.  With his mouth the godless man would destroy his neighbor\, but by knowledge the righteous are delivered.  When it goes well with the righteous\, the city rejoices; and when the wicked perish there are shouts of gladness.  By the blessing of the upright a city is exalted\, but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.  He who belittles his neighbor lacks sense\, but a man of understanding remains silent.

DESCRIPTION:Άγιοι\, εορταί\, και Αναγνώσεις – Πέμπτη\, 20 Μαρτίου 2025\nΆγιοι και εορταί: Αββάδες άναιρεθέντες εν τη Μονή του Αγίου Σάββα; Μύρων\, Νεομάρτυς; Κουθβέρτος ο Θαυματουργός; Φωτεινή\nΑυστηρή Νηστεία\nΑνάγνωσις Παλαιᾱς Διαθήκης: Ησαΐας 11:10-12:2\nΚαι έσται εν τη ημέρα εκείνη η ρίζα του ᾿Ιεσσαί και ο ανιστάμενος άρχειν εθνών\, επ᾿ αυτώ έθνη ελπιούσι\, και έσται η ανάπαυσις αυτού τιμή.\n και έσται τη ημέρα εκείνη προσθήσει Κύριος του δείξαι την χείρα αυτού του ζηλώσαι το καταλειφθέν υπόλοιπον του λαού\, ό άν καταλειφθή από των ᾿Ασσυρίων και από Αιγύπτου και Βαβυλωνίας και Αιθιοπίας και από ᾿Ελαμιτών και από ηλίου ανατολών και εξ ᾿Αραβίας. και αρεί σημείον εις τα έθνη και συνάξει τους απολομένους ᾿Ισραήλ και τους διεσπαρμένους του ᾿Ιούδα συνάξει εκ των τεσσάρων πτερύγων της γής. αφαιρεθήσεται ο ζήλος ᾿Εφραίμ και οι εχθροί ᾿Ιούδα απολούνται· ᾿Εφραίμ ου ζηλώσει ᾿Ιούδαν\, και ᾿Ιούδας ου θλίψει ᾿Εφραίμ. και πετασθήσονται εν πλοίοις αλλοφύλων θάλασσαν\, άμα προνομεύσουσι και τους αφ᾿ ηλίου ανατολών και ᾿Ιδουμαίαν· και επί Μωάβ πρώτον τάς χείρας επιβαλούσιν\, οι δε υιοί ᾿Αμμών πρώτοι υπακούσονται. και ερημώσει Κύριος την θάλασσαν Αιγύπτου και επιβαλεί την χείρα αυτού επί τον ποταμόν πνεύματι βιαίω και πατάξει επτά φάραγγας\, ώστε διαπορεύεσθαι αυτόν εν υποδήμασι· και έσται δίοδος τω καταλειφθέντι μου λαώ εν Αιγύπτω\, και έσται τω ᾿Ισραήλ ως η ημέρα ότε εξήλθεν εκ γής Αιγύπτου.\nΚαι ερείς εν τη ημέρα εκείνη· ευλογήσω σε\, Κύριε\, διότι ωργίσθης μοι και απέστρεψας τον θυμόν σου και ηλέησάς με. ιδού ο Θεός μου σωτήρ μου Κύριος\, πεποιθώς έσομαι επ᾿ αυτώ και σωθήσομαι εν αυτώ και ου φοβηθήσομαι\, διότι η δόξα μου και η αίνεσίς μου Κύριος και εγένετό μοι εις σωτηρίαν.\nΑνάγνωσις Παλαιᾱς Διαθήκης: Γένεσις 7:11-8:3\nΕν τω εξακοσιοστώ έτει εν τη ζωή του Νώε\, του δευτέρου μηνός\, εβδόμη και εικάδι του μηνός\, τη ημέρα ταύτη ερράγησαν πάσαι αι πηγαί της αβύσσου\, και οι καταρράκται του ουρανού ηνεῴχθησαν. και εγένετο υετός επί της γής τεσσαράκοντα ημέρας και τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας. εν τη ημέρα ταύτη εισήλθε Νώε\, Σήμ\, Χάμ\, ᾿Ιάφεθ\, οι υιοί Νώε\, και η γυνή Νώε και αι τρείς γυναίκες των υιών αυτού μετ᾿ αυτού εις την κιβωτόν. και πάντα τα θηρία κατά γένος και πάντα τα κτήνη κατά γένος και πάν ερπετόν κινούμενον επί της γής κατά γένος και πάν όρνεον πετεινόν κατά γένος αυτού εισήλθον πρός Νώε εις την κιβωτόν\, δύο δύο άρσεν και θήλυ από πάσης σαρκός\, εν ώ εστι πνεύμα ζωής. και τα εισπορευόμενα άρσεν και θήλυ από πάσης σαρκός εισήλθε\, καθά ενετείλατο ο Θεός τω Νώε. και έκλεισε Κύριος ο Θεός την κιβωτόν έξωθεν αυτού. Και εγένετο ο κατακλυσμός τεσσαράκοντα ημέρας και τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας επί της γής\, και επεπληθύνθη το ύδωρ και επήρε την κιβωτόν\, και υψώθη από της γής. και επεκράτει το ύδωρ και επληθύνετο σφόδρα επί της γής\, καί επεφέρετο η κιβωτός επάνω του ύδατος. το δε ύδωρ επεκράτει σφόδρα σφόδρα επί της γής και εκάλυψε πάντα τα όρη τα υψηλά\, ά ήν υποκάτω του ουρανού· πεντεκαίδεκα πήχεις υπεράνω υψώθη το ύδωρ και επεκάλυψε πάντα τα όρη τα υψηλά. και απέθανε πάσα σάρξ κινουμένη επί της γής των πετεινών και των κτηνών και από θηρίων και πάν ερπετόν κινούμενον επί της γής και πάς άνθρωπος. και πάντα\, όσα έχει πνοήν ζωής\, και πάν\, ό ήν επί της ξηράς\, απέθανε. και εξήλειψε πάν το ανάστημα\, ό ήν επί προσώπου της γής\, από ανθρώπου έως κτήνους και ερπετών και των πετεινών του ουρανού\, και εξηλείφθησαν από της γής· και κατελείφθη μόνος Νώε και οι μετ᾿ αυτού εν τη κιβωτώ. και υψώθη το ύδωρ επί της γής ημέρας εκατόν πεντήκοντα.\nΚαι ανεμνήσθη ο Θεός του Νώε και πάντων των θηρίων και πάντων των κτηνών και πάντων των πετεινών και πάντων των ερπετών των ερπόντων\, όσα ήν μετ᾿ αυτού εν τη κιβωτώ\, και επήγαγεν ο Θεός πνεύμα επί την γήν\, και εκόπασε το ύδωρ\, και επεκαλύφθησαν αι πηγαί της αβύσσου και οι καταρράκται του ουρανού\, και συνεσχέθη ο υετός από του ουρανού. και ενεδίδου το ύδωρ πορευόμενον από της γής\, και ηλαττονούτο το ύδωρ μετά πεντήκοντα και εκατόν ημέρας.\nΑνάγνωσις Παλαιᾱς Διαθήκης: Παροιμίαι 10:1-22\nΥιός σοφός ευφραίνει πατέρα\, υιός δε άφρων λύπη τη μητρί. ουκ ωφελήσουσι θησαυροί ανόμους\, δικαιοσύνη δε ρύσεται εκ θανάτου. ου λιμοκτονήσει Κύριος ψυχήν δικαίαν\, ζωήν δε ασεβών ανατρέψει. πενία άνδρα ταπεινοί\, χείρες δε ανδρείων πλουτίζουσιν. 4α υιός πεπαιδευμένος σοφός έσται\, τω δε άφρονι διακόνω χρήσεται. διεσώθη από καύματος υιός νοήμων\, ανεμόφθορος δε γίνεται εν αμητώ υιός παράνομος. ευλογία Κυρίου επί κεφαλήν δικαίου\, στόμα δε ασεβών καλύψει πένθος άωρον. μνήμη δικαίων μετ᾿ εγκωμίων\, όνομα δε ασεβούς σβέννυται. σοφός καρδία δέξεται εντολάς\, ο δε άστεγος χείλεσι σκολιάζων υποσκελισθήσεται. ός πορεύεται απλώς\, πορεύεται πεποιθώς\, ο δε διαστρέφων τάς οδούς αυτού\, γνωσθήσεται. ο εννεύων οφθαλμοίς μετά δόλου\, συνάγει ανδράσι λύπας\, ο δε ελέγχων μετά παρρησίας\, ειρηνοποιεί. πηγή ζωής εν χειρί δικαίου\, στόμα δε ασεβούς καλύψει απώλεια. μίσος εγείρει νείκος\, πάντας δε τους μή φιλονεικούντας καλύπτει φιλία. ός εκ χειλέων προφέρει σοφίαν\, ράβδω τύπτει άνδρα ακάρδιον. σοφοί κρύψουσιν αίσθησιν\, στόμα δε προπετούς εγγίζει συντριβή. κτήσις πλουσίων πόλις οχυρά\, συντριβή δε ασεβών πενία. έργα δικαίων ζωήν ποιεί\, καρποί δε ασεβών αμαρτίας. οδούς δικαίας ζωής φυλάσσει παιδεία\, παιδεία δε ανεξέλεγκτος πλανάται. καλύπτουσιν έχθραν χείλη δίκαια\, οι δε εκφέροντες λοιδορίας αφρονέστατοί εισιν. εκ πολυλογίας ουκ εκφεύξη αμαρτίαν\, φειδόμενος δε χειλέων νοήμων έση. άργυρος πεπυρωμένος γλώσσα δικαίου\, καρδία δε ασεβούς εκλείψει. χείλη δικαίων επίσταται υψηλά\, οι δε άφρονες εν ενδεία τελευτώσιν. ευλογία Κυρίου επί κεφαλήν δικαίου· αύτη πλουτίζει\, και ου μή προστεθή αυτή λύπη εν καρδία.

A slack hand causes poverty\, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.  A son who gathers in summer is prudent\, but a son who sleeps in harvest brings shame.  Blessings are on the head of the righteous\, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.  The memory of the righteous is a blessing\, but the name of the wicked will rot.  The wise of heart will heed commandments\, but a prating fool will come to ruin.  He who walks in integrity walks securely\, but he who perverts his ways will be found out.  He who winks the eye causes trouble\, but he who boldly reproves makes peace.  The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life\, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.  Hatred stirs up strife\, but love covers all offenses.  On the lips of him who has understanding wisdom is found\, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks sense.  Wise men lay up knowledge\, but the babbling of a fool brings ruin near.  A rich man’s wealth is his strong city; the poverty of the poor is their ruin.  The wage of the righteous leads to life\, the gain of the wicked to sin.  He who heeds instruction is on the path to life\, but he who rejects reproof goes astray.  He who conceals hatred has lying lips\, and he who utters slander is a fool.  When words are many\, transgression is not lacking\, but he who restrains his lips is prudent.  The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the mind of the wicked is of little worth.  The lips of the righteous feed many\, but fools die for lack of sense.  The blessing of the LORD makes rich\, and he adds no sorrow with it.

Και έσται εν τη ημέρα εκείνη ουκέτι προστεθήσεται το καταλειφθέν ᾿Ισραήλ\, και οι σωθέντες του ᾿Ιακώβ ουκέτι μή πεποιθότες ώσιν επί τους αδικήσαντας αυτούς\, αλλά έσονται πεποιθότες επί τον Θεόν τον άγιον του ᾿Ισραήλ τη αληθεία.\nΑνάγνωσις Παλαιᾱς Διαθήκης: Γένεσις 7:6-9\nΝώε δε ήν ετών εξακοσίων\, και ο κατακλυσμός του ύδατος εγένετο επί της γής. εισήλθε δε Νώε και οι υιοί αυτού και η γυνή αυτού και αι γυναίκες των υιών αυτού μετ᾿ αυτού εις την κιβωτόν διά το ύδωρ του κατατακλυσμού. και από των πετεινών των καθαρών και από των πετεινών των μή καθαρών και από των κτηνών των καθαρών και από των κτηνών των μή καθαρών και από πάντων των ερπόντων επί της γής δύο δύο εισήλθον πρός Νώε εις την κιβωτόν\, άρσεν και θήλυ\, καθά ενετείλατο ο Θεός τω Νώε.\nΑνάγνωσις Παλαιᾱς Διαθήκης: Παροιμίαι 9:12-18\nΥιέ\, εάν σοφός γένη σεαυτώ\, σοφός έση και τοις πλησίον· εάν δε κακός αποβής\, μόνος άν αντλήσεις κακά. ός ερείδεται επί ψεύδεσιν\, ούτος ποιμαίνει ανέμους\, ο δ᾿ αυτός διώξεται όρνεα πετόμενα· απέλιπε γαρ οδούς του εαυτού αμπελώνος\, τους δε άξονας του ιδίου γεωργίου πεπλάνηται· διαπορεύεται δε δι᾿ ανύδρου ερήμου και γήν διατεταγμένην εν διψώδεσι\, συνάγει δε χερσίν ακαρπίαν. Γυνή άφρων και θρασεία ενδεής ψωμού γίνεται\, ή ουκ επίσταται αισχύνην. εκάθισεν επί θύραις του εαυτής οίκου\, επί δίφρου εμφανώς εν πλατείαις\, προσκαλουμένη τους παριόντας και κατευθύνοντας εν ταις οδοίς αυτών· ός εστιν υμών αφρονέστατος\, εκκλινάτω πρός με και τοις ενδεέσι φρονήσεως παρακελεύομαι λέγουσα· άρτων κρυφίων ηδέως άψασθε και ύδατος κλοπής γλυκερού. ο δε ουκ οίδεν ότι γηγενείς παρ᾿ αυτή όλλυνται\, και επί πέταυρον ᾅδου συναντά.
