Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes\, of Gentiles also\, since God is one; and he will justify the circumcised on the ground of their faith and the uncircumcised through their faith. Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary\, we uphold the law. What then shall we say about Abraham\, our forefather according to the flesh? And every one who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand; and the rain fell\, and the floods came\, and the winds blew and beat against that house\, and it fell; and great was the fall of it.” And when Jesus finished these sayings\, the crowds were astonished at his teaching\, for he taught them as one who had authority\, and not as their scribes. When he came down from the mountain\, great crowds followed him; and behold\, a leper came to him and knelt before him saying\, “Lord\, if you will\, you can make me clean.” And he stretched out his hand and touched him\, saying\, “I will; be clean.” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. And Jesus said to him\, “See that you say nothing to any one; but go\, show yourself to the priest\, and offer the gift that Moses commanded\, for a proof to them.”

Και εγένετο ότε συνετέλεσεν ο ᾿Ιησούς τους λόγους τούτους\, εξεπλήσσοντο οι όχλοι επί τη διδαχή αυτού· ήν γαρ διδάσκων αυτούς ως εξουσίαν έχων\, και ουχ ως οι γραμματείς. Καταβάντι δε αυτώ από του όρους ηκολούθησαν αυτώ όχλοι πολλοί. Και ιδού λεπρός ελθών προσεκύνει αυτώ λέγων· Κύριε\, εάν θέλης\, δύνασαί με καθαρίσαι. και εκτείνας την χείρα ήψατο αυτού ο ᾿Ιησούς λέγων· θέλω\, καθαρίσθητι. και ευθέως εκαθαρίσθη αυτού η λέπρα. και λέγει αυτώ ο ᾿Ιησούς· όρα μηδενί είπης\, αλλά ύπαγε σεαυτόν δείξον τω ιερεί και προσένεγκε το δώρον ό προσέταξε Μωσής εις μαρτύριον αυτοίς.
